My personal experience
When I was eight I realized how amazingly durable leather is. I was sick and sleeping on my parents leather sectional. In my sleep I spilled my glass of red cool-aide on the sectional and carpet. The next morning my parents tried to clean up the stain. The sectional wiped right off and looked perfect. The carpet was stained for life. Needless to say I will only have leather furniture with my 3 children.
